To the Supporters of the "Golden Star" Project
Dear friends,
We need to raise €85,000 (USD98,000) to bring the Golden Star project to life.
This amount covers the collection and transportation of shell fragments from the war zone in Ukraine (about 500 kilograms must be gathered so that the artist can select fragments of the desired shape); the production of the artwork (including a welder’s salary for three months); the chemical cleaning of the collected material; the galvanic process at the factory for nickel-plating and gilding the one-metre-wide sculpture; the transportation of the Golden Star to Italy; the organisation of public events; the creation of this website; professional photography services, and much more.
The artist Sergey Melnikoff does not keep a single cent for himself.
He is also the founder of The Soul of Ukraine Foundation, Inc., an international charitable organisation overseeing the creation of the Golden Star — or, as we call it, the Stella d’Oro.
His work is an exceptional gift, offered with love and gratitude to the people of Italy.
The names of all donors — regardless of the amount contributed, even a single dollar — will be listed on this page of the website. Together, we will later decide where in Italy this magnificent Golden Star will be permanently placed, as a symbol of the Ukrainian people’s profound gratitude to the Italian nation.

All funds raised for the Golden Star project are managed transparently through The Soul of Ukraine Foundation, Inc., a registered charitable organisation in the United States with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
Donors under U.S. jurisdiction may receive an official letter from the Foundation for federal tax deduction purposes.

Article of Incorporation
Registered with the Secretary of State of Florida (USA), this founding document defines the legal structure of the Foundation, its charitable mission, and official governance.
